Happy Birthday Kaylea

Happy Birthday to you, sweet 15. We are in a city called Labis and we are just getting ready to go out for a Thanksgiving Ceremony supper. Can't send any pictures this time because I am using the Pastor's computer. I ministered twice last night, once at 1AM, and again tonight (Saturday) and then at least 4 times tomorrow, so will be busy for the next day or so, We are having a great time, but are also looking forward to returning to Canada.

God Bless

See you all later

Back from the Highlands

On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week we left the stifling heat of the lowlands, and travelled to Cameron Highlands. The scenery was magnificent, and as we ascended into the Highlands, the temperature actually became bearable. If not for the fact that I have had the "runs" for 7 days straight, it would have been positively heavenly.

This is a picture of a home of a jungle dweller that is indigenous to the Highlands. They are called Aborigine.

Also included, to show the contrast, is a picture of a resort hotel in the Highlands. Also, one of many pictures from Boh Tea Plantation.

We leave Ayer Tawer tomorrow morning and head south past Kuala Lumpur to a town called Lapis. We will also be visiting Malacca before returning to Kuala Lumpur for our final two or three days. I think James has me ministering about six times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The most popular girl in Malaysia, because of her undying allegiance to those Calgary Flames. Everybody loves a winner!!!!!

Yes, Miss Lowe, Autumn is doing her homework!

I love the bugs. We went to a butterfly farm, and they had lots of big bugs too!

Mackenzie, up close and personal with a butterfly. Autumn, at a different tea plantation.

A last visit to a rose garden, and then it was back to Ayer Tawer. Like I said, we leave tomorrow for Lapis, Malacca and Kaula Lumpur, so I am uncertain about internet access, so this may be our last blog, or maybe not. Marlou, we have enjoyed all of your comments. Most interesting!
Karen, a delayed Happy Birthday to you. May God continue to richly bless you. If you could get my mid month and end of the month cheque and put it in my mail slot in your office, I would appreciate it.
Keep those comments coming. We love to hear from you.
We have been absolutely enjoying the ministry part of this trip. The people are very open to the Word of God, and love to sing and praise the Lord. I must have had at least 10 young men from the Diamond Home come up for prayer on Sunday morning, and all they wanted was for the Lord to Bless them. It definitely is the same Spirit living in them that is living in us. The Love of God is a universal language. The response to what we have shared has been very positive, so it is always encouraging to have that confirmation.
James and Suba and Ashton have been absolutely fabulous host and hostesses. They have made our time here truly memorable. Cindy, just so you know, you don't know what tailgating is until you drive with James.
Love to all. Hope to be able to blog at least a couple more times, and we'll see you one week from today, or thereabouts.
Neil, my office looks just fine the way it is.
God Bless: Randy, Lynn, Autumn, and Mackenzie

I think I ate something I wasn't supposed to eat, or drank something I wasn't supposed to drink, so I have had severe stomach pains for the past two days. It's getting better now, but I'm still not 100 %, maybe 60-70 %.

It is Sunday afternoon, about 3:40 PM, so I think it is 12:40 PM FSJ time. Some of you are just going to bed after AFTERSHOCK, and we have already had our Sunday morning service, and then went out for lunch. Here's a picture of me preaching in the morning service wearing some
kind of traditional garb.

Once again I am speaking with the help of an interpreter. Lynn and I also ministered on Saturday evening, Lynn at a woman's meeting, and I shared at a youth meeting. Neil, the music was awesome. We need to get these guys to come to Canada and juice up our services even more. They make Tom and his group seem somewhat subdued.

Finally, one last picture of Lynn in a sari. Autumn is doing well and is a great traveller. Mackenzie is also doing great. The highlight for him yesterday was getting to play soccer with the boys from the Diamond Home, and then visiting friends and family back home via the internet. I think he needed that, and it did seem to pick him up quite a bit.

The last word is for Neil. I got you a present, man. I got you a French football jersey. You are going to love it. No need to thank me, I know how much you will appreciate it.
Love to all.
Randy, Lynn, Autumn and Mackenzie

my second note

Hi to you all. Michael and Michelle at work I don't know if you are checking up on me or not but hto you all. It is very hot here. We mostly live in the air con. Tonight I am going to speak at the church to the ladies and Randy to the youth. It is Sat. evening. Randy played soccer with the boys from the home this morning. 8:00. It was very hot even then. The food is very different, the driving is something else, the clothes are very cheap and everything is so different for us. Such an experience. Gotta go, Lynn

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CRYSTAL!!!!!!

This first picture is looking out over the Straits of Malacca from Pankgor Island. The next is of Autumn on Pangkor Island and all those bags and baskets behind her are filled with many different kinds of dried fish!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CRYSTAL! It is 10 PM here in Malaysia, and I'm getting tired. I think it is 7 AM in FSJ, probably 6 in Saskatchewan. Crystal, you realize of course that you've always been my favorite, so have a very happy birthday and a very wonderful day!
Love, Dad, Mom and Autumn (one of my other favorites).

hi from Lynn

hi to everyone. How are my girls and Cache Luke? We are having a wonderful time. The temp. is very hot and I didn't know if I was going to make it the first day but I was sick that day. Pastor James took me to the doctor the second day and I have been much better since. Autumn got stung by a sea urchin about 4 times on both feet and now she is not sure about the ocean swimming. She recovered fine. Yesterday we went shopping in Ipoh (about 1.5 million people) with Pastor James. He was astounded because Randy got 3 free coffees and he said that never happens to him. I have to speak on Saturday to the women. Gotta go, hi to you all we love you and see you in a bit.

Just wanted to post something real quick, hoping that it might get to Canada before our Wednesday evening Bible Study. Hi to everyone in the group, and to all the saints at CLC.
The one picture is of some of the children from the Diamond Home. There is also a picture from a shopping mall in Ipoh, where we spent some time yesterday with James.
I ministered in a church in Sitiawan, and remember praying for a tall man. Last night James got a text message that this man was in ICU, so James and I went and prayed with him. We found out this morning that he had passed away, so that was a shock, as he looked perfectly healthy on Sunday. Just points out again the brevity of life, and the importance of walking close to Jesus all the time.
Gotta go for now. It is 10:15 AM Thursday morning here in Ayer Tawar. My computer tells me it is 7:15 PM Wednesday evening in FSJ. If anyone thinks to check, we'll see if you get this during the study time. Remember, one chapter per week, maybe two if I'm not there.
Love to all.
Randy, Lynn, Autumn and Mackenzie.
PS to Cindy. I'm not getting any email here, so if you have a question, you'll have to ask it where everyone can see.

Back from the resort

What I'm going to do is just post some pictures, and then I'll try and explain the pictures after I see what order they are in.
These are pictures from a 5 star resort off the west coast of Malaysia. The resort is on an island, and the entire island is owned by the resort. The resort is owned by a Christian man, who allows his employees to attend Bible studies, etc. and also brings in local pastors and provides them with room and board while they are there. So Lynn and I and Autumn got to stay at this world famous five star resort free gratis. We were blessed.
The picture on the bottom left is of Lynn on the far side of the island at a place called Emerald Bay.
Autumn is enjoying herself in the pool.
Top right is a picture of our room. It was a pleasure to minister to the people at the resort, workers, mostly Filipino, who are mostly new believers. New believers are always exciting to minister to.
We arrived back in Ayer Tawer this afternoon (Tuesday), and will be having dinner at the Diamond Home this evening. We were scheduled to go to the Cameron Highlands tomorrow and Thursday, but Suba would not have been able to come with us, so that will now happen next week, and we will go to a town called Ipo tomorrow.
There seems to be a nice mix of ministry and sightseeing, so we truly are feeling blessed. We'll continue to try and keep you updated.
God Bless!!!!!
Check out the website for Pangkor Laut.

More news and views

The second time preaching with an interpreter at a Mandarin Chinese church. The next picture will show me preaching at the same church the next day to a English chinese group. The reason for the second picture is so that you will notice the bare feet.

Downtown Ayer Tawer, where James and Suba

A view of our room at a very nice resort called Pangor Laut. One more picture AND then I'm gone for now. I'm wasting pool time.

One final picture for you coffee lovers. It's hard to get a cup, it's mostly instant, and it's small.
Blessings to all. It's was really sad to hear about 8 more inches of snow. WE WENT SWIMMING IN THE OCEAN AND IN A VERY NICE POOL. THE TEMPERATURE IS AROUND 30. VERY WARM. LOVE RANDY, LYNN, AUTUMN AND MACKENZIE

HI JACY,NICOLE,KAYLEA,KRISTIN,CACHE, CORRINNA,NATHALIE,ISSACC

Hey guys!!
I'm having a GREAT time in Malaysia! This picture was taken in Pasator James' and Suba's office with theBEST HAT IN THE WORLD on and so far we went to preach at 1 church service and we're going to 1 more tonight. So far I bought myself 3 shirts. So I went from FSJ to Vancouver and it took 1 hr. and 10 mins. Then we went from Vancouver to Hong Kong and stopped at Hong Kong for 14 hours. I LOVED Hong Kong. It was beautiful. Then we went from Hong Kong to Kuala Lampur and went to get a meal. Then we drove to Ayer Tawer and it took 4 hours and I slept the whole way there. Then I wasn't tired at night time. I didn't sleep well at ALL. But last night I had a really good sleep. Then I had a shower in the morning when dad woke me up. It was REALLY cold!!! Then this morning we went to a really good place to eat. Then we went to go shopping. Anyway, have o go. Talk to you guys tomorrow BYE!!

I preached my first message in Malaysia last night with the help of Pastor Rajan. It was interesting to say the least, and it must have been okay because there was a good response for the altar call. Many people came for prayer. Last night was Friday, and tonight we will be ministering at Christian Life Chinese section, so once again I will be using an interpreter.

Lynn is starting to feel better, for which we are most thankful.

Here's a picture of James and Suba and Ashton, with Suba's sister and her neice and Autumn.

We've not been here long enough to get scenery pictures yet, although tomorrow (Sunday) we are going to minister for a couple of days at a five star resort. Life is tough.

Hi to Jacy and Nicole, Kaylea and Kristen, and Cache Luke. Autumn will send you something on the Blog soon.

Amber, I once again need your HELP!!! How do I change to anonomyous like you suggested?

We Made It!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a picture of "Cosmic Grounds" about to become known around the world, especially with the amount of coffee I drink. We are excited about leaving.
This is us overnighting at the Hong Kong airport. My wife can sleep just about anywhere, as long as she has me to watch over her. One of us must stay awake.

This is Autumn sleeping on the bench at the airport in Hong Kong. What a cutie, and not bad for someone who wasn't even tired. It is about 4 AM Hong Kong time.

This is Lynn and Mackenzie sleeping on the benches.

Lynn and Mack in downtown Hong Kong taking in the sights. Autumn was thrilled with Hong Kong, and thinks she will probably move there when she grows up.

The four of us shortly after we got off the plane from Vancouver in Hong Kong.
We arrived in Kaula Lumpur about 1 PM local time and James and Suba were there to meet us with son Ashton. We had a very long, tiring flight, and then had a four hour drive to Ayer Tawar, where James and Suba and Ashton live. First of course, we had to stop at Suba's sisters house for a meal, and then we had to go to a local "Starbucks" (sorry Marnie,no Cosmic Grounds in Malaysia yet) for a coffee for the road.
It looks like we will have a very full schedule while here, with many opportunities to share in various churches. It sounds like I will even get to speak occasionally with an interpreter, which will be a first.
Lynn is thinking right now that minus 20 isn't so bad after all. She never has done real well in the heat.
Autumn is going to say a little something now to her classmates in FSJ.
Hi! We've been having a great time here in Malaysia. We just arrived here last nigt(in FSJ today is Thursday.) and had a bite to eat. In Malasia, rice is really famous. So then, after the meal we went on a 4 hr. drive to where we are staying. I slept the whole way there and last night,I woke up at 5:30. Last night I did NOT sleep good because of these REALLY strange noises that almost sounded like a man dieing but in the morning we found out that the people making that noise were pigeions. When me and mom woke up we started to read and dad was still asleep and he was snoring like CRAZY!!! !(heehee) I'll tell you more tomorrow or the next dayBYE!!!
Mack has disappeared for now, so he can have his say next time.
God Bless.
Pray for Lynn. Her and heat do not get along so well.
