Happy Birthday Kaylea

Happy Birthday to you, sweet 15. We are in a city called Labis and we are just getting ready to go out for a Thanksgiving Ceremony supper. Can't send any pictures this time because I am using the Pastor's computer. I ministered twice last night, once at 1AM, and again tonight (Saturday) and then at least 4 times tomorrow, so will be busy for the next day or so, We are having a great time, but are also looking forward to returning to Canada.

God Bless

See you all later

Back from the Highlands

On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week we left the stifling heat of the lowlands, and travelled to Cameron Highlands. The scenery was magnificent, and as we ascended into the Highlands, the temperature actually became bearable. If not for the fact that I have had the "runs" for 7 days straight, it would have been positively heavenly.

This is a picture of a home of a jungle dweller that is indigenous to the Highlands. They are called Aborigine.

Also included, to show the contrast, is a picture of a resort hotel in the Highlands. Also, one of many pictures from Boh Tea Plantation.

We leave Ayer Tawer tomorrow morning and head south past Kuala Lumpur to a town called Lapis. We will also be visiting Malacca before returning to Kuala Lumpur for our final two or three days. I think James has me ministering about six times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The most popular girl in Malaysia, because of her undying allegiance to those Calgary Flames. Everybody loves a winner!!!!!

Yes, Miss Lowe, Autumn is doing her homework!

I love the bugs. We went to a butterfly farm, and they had lots of big bugs too!

Mackenzie, up close and personal with a butterfly. Autumn, at a different tea plantation.

A last visit to a rose garden, and then it was back to Ayer Tawer. Like I said, we leave tomorrow for Lapis, Malacca and Kaula Lumpur, so I am uncertain about internet access, so this may be our last blog, or maybe not. Marlou, we have enjoyed all of your comments. Most interesting!
Karen, a delayed Happy Birthday to you. May God continue to richly bless you. If you could get my mid month and end of the month cheque and put it in my mail slot in your office, I would appreciate it.
Keep those comments coming. We love to hear from you.
We have been absolutely enjoying the ministry part of this trip. The people are very open to the Word of God, and love to sing and praise the Lord. I must have had at least 10 young men from the Diamond Home come up for prayer on Sunday morning, and all they wanted was for the Lord to Bless them. It definitely is the same Spirit living in them that is living in us. The Love of God is a universal language. The response to what we have shared has been very positive, so it is always encouraging to have that confirmation.
James and Suba and Ashton have been absolutely fabulous host and hostesses. They have made our time here truly memorable. Cindy, just so you know, you don't know what tailgating is until you drive with James.
Love to all. Hope to be able to blog at least a couple more times, and we'll see you one week from today, or thereabouts.
Neil, my office looks just fine the way it is.
God Bless: Randy, Lynn, Autumn, and Mackenzie

I think I ate something I wasn't supposed to eat, or drank something I wasn't supposed to drink, so I have had severe stomach pains for the past two days. It's getting better now, but I'm still not 100 %, maybe 60-70 %.

It is Sunday afternoon, about 3:40 PM, so I think it is 12:40 PM FSJ time. Some of you are just going to bed after AFTERSHOCK, and we have already had our Sunday morning service, and then went out for lunch. Here's a picture of me preaching in the morning service wearing some
kind of traditional garb.

Once again I am speaking with the help of an interpreter. Lynn and I also ministered on Saturday evening, Lynn at a woman's meeting, and I shared at a youth meeting. Neil, the music was awesome. We need to get these guys to come to Canada and juice up our services even more. They make Tom and his group seem somewhat subdued.

Finally, one last picture of Lynn in a sari. Autumn is doing well and is a great traveller. Mackenzie is also doing great. The highlight for him yesterday was getting to play soccer with the boys from the Diamond Home, and then visiting friends and family back home via the internet. I think he needed that, and it did seem to pick him up quite a bit.

The last word is for Neil. I got you a present, man. I got you a French football jersey. You are going to love it. No need to thank me, I know how much you will appreciate it.
Love to all.
Randy, Lynn, Autumn and Mackenzie

my second note

Hi to you all. Michael and Michelle at work I don't know if you are checking up on me or not but hto you all. It is very hot here. We mostly live in the air con. Tonight I am going to speak at the church to the ladies and Randy to the youth. It is Sat. evening. Randy played soccer with the boys from the home this morning. 8:00. It was very hot even then. The food is very different, the driving is something else, the clothes are very cheap and everything is so different for us. Such an experience. Gotta go, Lynn

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CRYSTAL!!!!!!

This first picture is looking out over the Straits of Malacca from Pankgor Island. The next is of Autumn on Pangkor Island and all those bags and baskets behind her are filled with many different kinds of dried fish!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CRYSTAL! It is 10 PM here in Malaysia, and I'm getting tired. I think it is 7 AM in FSJ, probably 6 in Saskatchewan. Crystal, you realize of course that you've always been my favorite, so have a very happy birthday and a very wonderful day!
Love, Dad, Mom and Autumn (one of my other favorites).

hi from Lynn

hi to everyone. How are my girls and Cache Luke? We are having a wonderful time. The temp. is very hot and I didn't know if I was going to make it the first day but I was sick that day. Pastor James took me to the doctor the second day and I have been much better since. Autumn got stung by a sea urchin about 4 times on both feet and now she is not sure about the ocean swimming. She recovered fine. Yesterday we went shopping in Ipoh (about 1.5 million people) with Pastor James. He was astounded because Randy got 3 free coffees and he said that never happens to him. I have to speak on Saturday to the women. Gotta go, hi to you all we love you and see you in a bit.
